Major and Minor divisions: August 18, 2025 to October 26, 2025
Farm, Pioneer and T-Ball divisions (pending availability): September 2, 2025 to October 26, 2025

REGISTRATION SCHEDULE: July 15, 2025 to August 10, 2025.

DIVISIONS (LEVEL OF PLAY): Please see above for descriptions of the various league divisions/levels of play.

PLAYER LEAGUE AGE: To determine your child's playing age, please refer to the Little League Age Chart for Baseball or Little League Baseball's Age Calculator.

LEAGUE BOUNDARIES: Please check our league boundaries or use the league finder to verify that you and your child's residence OR the school your child will attend for the 2025-26 school year sits within the boundaries.

[IMPORTANT] Starting with the 2025 season, players League Age 4-7 can play in any league of their family’s choice, without respect to any geography- or school-related eligibility requirements. This means your younger players (League Age 4-7) can register for Metro, even if their residence or school sits outside the Metro boundaries.
Please see the Little League website for details, or contact [email protected].

VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECK: As required by California law, any volunteer who will spend more than 8 hours around children must complete a background check. If you have registered as a volunteer with Sunnyvale Metro during the Spring 2025 season and you've completed your background check, you do NOT need to complete your background check for Fall 2025.

PRACTICE AND GAME SCHEDULE: Dates and times will vary depending on the division and field availability. Your team coaches will provide details once teams are created.

REFUND POLICY: If your child decides not to play before we begin practices, we will refund all fees, less a $25.00 cancellation fee. If team uniform items were issued, the refund is given after the items are returned. After practices begin, no fees will be refunded unless there was an unusual circumstance, such as an injury. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by the league President or the Player Agent.

Levels of Play

T-Ball

  • T-Ballers are league age 4-5.
  • This division is for our youngest, first-year players. Most T-Ball players are playing their first year of baseball.
  • The goal of T-Ball is to have fun and introduce and build basic baseball skills including which hand the glove goes on, how to hold a bat, hit off a tee and which direction to run the bases.
  • Games are 3 innings and typically last 1 hour.
  • T-Ball uses a soft cloth safety ball.

Pioneer

  • Pioneer players are typically league age 5-7.
  • This division builds on T-Ball skills including moving from hitting off a tee to coaches pitching from a close distance to the players.
  • The goal is to have fun, improve baseball and team skills, and prepare players for the Farm Division.
  • Pioneer players includes players new to baseball and players who have played T-Ball or Pioneer in the past.
  • Games are 4 innings and typically last 1:30.
  • Pioneer uses a Reduced Injury Factor (RIF) level 5 ball.

Farm

  • Farm players are typically league age 7-9.
  • This division is instructional and adds more advanced skills including player pitching (coaches pitch in certain situations), sliding, and outs.
  • Score is kept but no there are no standings/playoffs.
  • Farm is still a great division for players new to baseball.
  • Games last 6 innings or 1:45 - 2 hours.
  • Farm uses a RIF level 10 ball

Minor

  • Minor players are typically league age 9-11.
  • Minor players are drafted into the division after being evaluated by coaches and league officials during Player Evaluations.
  • The Minor Division teams keep score, standings and send a team to the District Tournament of Champions and a team to the District All Star Tournament.

Major

  • Major players are typically 11 and 12 years old.
  • Major players typically play 1 or 2 years in Minors before being drafted.
